- daily lessons

- weekly assessments for progress monitoring

 

Recommended instructional time:
20-45 minutes

Tier 2

10-15% of students

Classroom teacher or intervention specialist:

- implements the program as detailed in the Teacher's Manuals

- works with small groups or individuals to complete part of the daily lesson worksheets

- works with students in small groups using phonics cards, spelling/high frequency cards, and/or cooperative learning cards

- works with students in small groups to read decodable readers

 

Recommended additional
instructional time:
30 minutes

Tier 3

5% of students

Classroom teacher, special education teacher, or intervention specialist:

- implements the program as detailed in the Teacher's Manuals

- works with small groups or individuals to complete part of the daily lesson worksheets

- works with students in small groups or individually, using phonics cards to review sounds of letters, digraphs, diphthongs, & combinations

- works with students in small groups or individually, using spelling/high frequency cards for review and remediation

- works with students in small groups or individually, using cooperative learning cards for review and remediation

- works with students in small groups or individually to read decodable readers

Recommended additional

instructional time: 60 minutes
